A Game Changer

It is a term defined as
something that happens
within the course of events
 that has the possibility
of turning
everything
all around.

a change of plans

a re-direction

something surprising
or
even unexpected

sometimes necessitating
taking to the
root
of previously existing
plans
or goals...

and
chipping  away

giving up on what we thought we needed,
and starting over, if need be.

This isn't your standard New Year's reflection post...

I've had an honest-to-goodness
game changer
occur today.

Something that has prompted me to value
life
a little bit more

value those I
love
a little bit more

and to re-evaluate my hopes, dreams and ambitions
and to hold them up in the light of
God's will
for my life.

I am at a crossroads...
as are we all, in one way or another...
whether we realize it or not.

And so I wait.
I sit and listen, as the game plan remains a mystery.

But this I know...

I have a wonderful  *Coach.

"For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the  *Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a hope and a future..."

Whatever comes your way God does have a plan that we cannot even comprehend. I trust that he has a strong hold on your life. Good for you to recognize change coming and to be aware of it and to slow yourself and listen for his will. I'm praying for whatever change is headed your way.

God bless you Sweetie. Love...Tracy :)

Hi Anne,

I don't know you well, but when I read your post I was reminded of a quote from Ruth Benedict..."I long to speak out the intense inspiration that comes to me from the lives of strong women."

I've visited your blog enough to know that you are a strong woman. Hold tight to those you love, and good or bad, you will be stronger for having come through it.

Oh...Hope all is well Anne! I pray that God reveals His plan for your life and for the courage to follow. Your post spoke to me because I am going through some personal reevaluation about my walk with God and complacency in my life... and I love where you said "giving up on what we thought we needed and starting over if need be" and reevaluating hopes and dreams and giving them to God...

Praying for you!

Dear Anne,

My prayers are with you friend. Whatever you are going through, God has a plan. And, although most of us don't embrace it while it is occurring, maybe even reject it, change is good. Challenges and changes are where we experience our greatest spiritual growth. My thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you today.

This post is touching my heart and just to say it is God's will. We dont always understand and some changes make us truly hurt but in the end you will see. It may take more time and we as humans lack patience. But hang onto your faith and if you are lacking in faith at times, this is a good time to rekindle it.

God has a way of putting a stop to the directions we are heading. I was stopped in my tracks for almost 3 years. He had something he wanted to say to me and I was not listening. He now is letting go of the ropes some and letting me get my feet wet again but he still is holding the rope with a firm grip.

He has a way of getting our attention. Keep the lord first in your life and he will direct your path.

In Godly love,
Tammy
