Remarkable Restraint

...that's exactly what I showed at the Accumulations show last week,
when I limited myself to only three  purchases.
Sheesh, I think I deserve a medal  or somethin'
for not spending more, don't ya think?

And because so many of you have asked,
here's what I scored...

From Theresa Cano's space, I grabbed a couple
of wonderful creations from the oh-so-talented

This divine burlap pillow...

Ain't she purty?

and this whimsically wonderful altered birdcage lamp...

Theresa has started selling Brenda's creations,
and it's a true match made in Heaven.

And from the marvelous Michele Brown,
I nabbed this irresistible enamelware pitcher...

And now begins my fast from shopping, junking, thrifting...
going cold turkey, I tell ya.

And it's gonna be brutal, but it's time to be an adult and deny myself just a bit.

Painful words from an entitled only child, but I can do it...
with your support...
with your encouragement.

BWAAA, HAA HAA !!!
I just cracked myself up there for a sec!
I forgot I was talking to a wonderfully delightful group of enablers here...  ;-)

Love ya's anyway, tho!

i would say all those pillows are purty!!!!i won't be able to keep you on the straight and narrow as i am also an only child of eleven step brothers and sisters. i was always treated nicely and fairly, but used our money wisely. now, if i can i will purchase it with caution. unfortunely, appreciate curious, unique and lovely things. my eyes love to feast on treasures. so, you are on your own. Your finds are wonderful! I'm thinkin that if you are fasting from shopping for awhile then maybe you should find someone to swap stuff with. You could do a "trade ya" party.

You know I love how you fill your home with beauty so I can't wait to see what you do with your new stuff.

Such beautiful stuff!!

The pillow is beyond perfect, and I adore the birdcage, hope you'll stop by and see my tiny one. The enamel pitcher well it goes without saying one cannot have enough of those! Well done, and yes, you showed remarkable restraint.

Love those pillows ~ I would be absolutely horrible in a step program for shopaholics. Try as I may - I could never have left with 3 things if I wanted 4 - you are a rock...my hero:)

Now how did you get a hold of my Nana's enamel ice tea pitcher? She mixed tea and OJ for her special concoction in this very pitcher!
That pillow is so sweet!

We all suffer from the same "disease", so probably not too many of us will be much help in this case! You did get some awesome stuff though! Can't wait to see what you buy next ;0)

I couldn't do it Anne. Not unless Dale were to use his handcuffs from his duty belt and cuff me to a chair! Even then I would probably gnaw my self away until I could get to nearest show.(if I lived in Texas, that is) Since Idaho has no great shows, I will give you moral support and fast with ya!
I loved your beautiful purchases!!!

Oh how I hear you. Every time I make my weekly trip into the city I bring home something I think I could have done without. And I give myself a talking to about spending when I should be saving. I love your buys especially the pitcher. I also came home with some finds today and posted about them.

you are tooo funny. and so is everyone that posts here all the time, you all just crack me up.

just like I always tell my friend... "if we lived together, we'd never fit through the door" because all we do is eat junk together. With you and I, it would be "if we lived together, we'd be in the poor house, but it would look fabulous!" (and just so you know, you'd do the decorating and I'd be nodding my head yes yes we need that!
